Our top seller, Billy’s Stone Crab Roll, is made with tempura wild Norwegian salmon, steamed asparagus, topped with fresh avocado and our famous fresh stone crab meat.  The Dragon Roll is made with tempura shrimp, fresh avocado, scallion and rice rolled in seaweed.  The Spicy tuna roll is made with yellow fin tuna, also known as Saku tuna, Sriracha hot sauce and scallions.  We also offer a variety of Sashimi. Other Billy’s favorites include the Dancing Eel (California Roll with Eel on top), Lava Drop (cream cheese with mixed crab tempura), Dragon Roll Inside/out Masago (Tempura shrimp, masago, scallion with avocado on top). So why is everyone making such a big deal about the beginning of the Stone Crab season? Well, because the stone crab season  is a big deal for Floridians and  visitors alike! Everyone anticipates that sweet cool taste of the stone crabs and can’t wait to submerge in this famous South Florida Delicacy. Once you taste Stone crabs -  you always want to go back and taste them  again – either paired with Billy’s Signature mustard sauce or just with warm drawn butter – they are the  “ IT”  to enjoy.

Rightfully so – the meat of the Florida Stone Crab is tender, has a very low level of fats and it offers a very interesting tasting experience. Stone Crabs are also a good source of protein, selenium and magnesium. The best way to eat stone crabs is cold.  Warm stone crabs have an iodine aftertaste, but cold stone crabs don’t. At Billy’s , before being eaten, the cold crabs are cracked and then served with the signature mustard sauce on the side.

This Famous Florida delicacy is only 60 calories, has no fat,  no carbs and offers about 15g of Protein.

All of the stone crab claws on the market come from wild fisheries, making this product a true natural seafood item.
As of October 5 each year the fisherman can start to put stone crab traps in the water, for 10days before they can legally pull them out. The Season officially begins on October 15th every year. The fishermen pull out the traps on this day and cook the stone crab claws right away.  Once this process is completed – the stone crabs are ready to be shipped to us fresh and to be served at Billy’s Stone Crab Restaurant and Market.

Today, Billy and his wife Elena run the restaurant as a family team and enjoy spending time together brainstorming, reinventing and refining the family business. Billy himself, as well as his family finds much inspiration from loving the South Florida Waters, fishing, boating and traveling wide. Their day-to-day involvement and dedication to the Restaurant’s success  is  the  outlet of their passion in attempt of creating an extraordinary experience in peoples lives by providing top quality old  fashioned elegant dining in the heart of Hollywood, the South Florida tourist destination and ensuring an existence of a healthy and quality seafood source for tourists and locals alike.

Every summer, Billy’s takes the time during the off season to update and renovate the already successful establishment. We feel it is important that our patrons come back to a fresh and updated New Stone Crab Season every time. This summer our efforts were focused on creating a new interior design of the Restaurant. We wanted to accomplish a goal of creating a modern and yet an elegant, familiar and comfortable atmosphere of fine dining by captivating  the views of the waters of the Intracoastal Water Way and its beauty of the yachts, boats and sea life parading year around. We teamed up with one of the best design companies of Fort Lauderdale, Id & Design International, a company with whom we worked last summer to update and remodel our exterior. Together we believe, we have incorporated our ideas and created a new and fresh look. Now we are completing our final stages of the project and look forward to welcome you back and greet you with our new ambiance but with the same familiar top quality and prices.
